​​これまでわたしにとって茶道とは、縁遠いものだった。

触れることすらなく、どこかで「古いもの」として捉えていた。

 

けれど、人生のある瞬間に、ふと出会ってしまった。

そのとき、私の中に「問い」がうまれた。

 

─ なぜ、その動作は“そうでなければならない”のか？

─ なぜ、その静けさに、心が揺れるのか？

─ なぜ、その空間に、“芯の強さ”を感じるのか？

 

私はクリエイティブの世界で、“自由”を追いかけて生きてきた。

けど、不自由なはずの「型」の中にこそ、真の美しさがあると知った。

 

「制限された動き」や「しきたり」が全てに見える茶道。

しかし、実はその奥に“心”という無限の自由が宿っている。

 

今、何が正しいか、何が美しいか、

誰かが教えてくれる時代ではない。

一人ひとりが、自ら選択しなければならない。

 

だからこそ、茶道という“型”を通して、

自分自身の軸と、美意識と、未来の在り方を感じてほしい。

 

TEA ESSENCE は、ただの体験ではない。

“本来の自分を、凛と取り戻すための時間”であり、

something I had never touched, something I quietly labeled “old.”

 

But then, one day, I encountered it—unexpectedly, softly.

And in that moment, a series of questions arose within me:

 

– Why must each movement be done that way?

– Why does such stillness move my heart?

– Why does that space carry such quiet strength?

 

I’ve lived chasing “freedom” in the creative world.

Yet, in this structured form—so seemingly restrictive—I found true beauty.

 

In tea ceremony, everything appears to follow strict forms and traditions.

But beneath that surface lies an infinite freedom of the heart.

Today, no one tells us what is right or beautiful anymore.

Each of us must choose for ourselves.

 

That’s precisely why, through the formality of tea ceremony,

I hope people will reconnect with their inner compass,

their aesthetic sense, and a vision of their own future.
